ZEITGIEST LIES

SUN and SON are Homophones (words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings) that only works in ENGLISH.  Like the word knight and night, weak and week, prophet and profit, and right and wright.  These Homophones don't translate into Spanish or Russian the same way.  So for example if I made a joke to an Arabic speaker saying that his SON was a BRIGHT kid, and asked for translators to tell him what I said, He would not get the joke.  He would probably just thank me.  Why, because those words sound different in Arabic and have different spellings in Arabic.  They have their own homophones that don't make sense to us.

So The words SON and SUN are different sounding and spelled words in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic.  We would never fall subject to that confusion.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE OUT RIGHT LIES REFUTED IN ZEITGEIST ABOUT COMPARISONS.

Krishna was 1 of 8 children THE LAST ONE. His father Vasudeva was a nobleman, not a carpenter. Crucifixion first appeared in the 6th century BC, about 2,400 years after Krishna. Krishna was accidentally shot in the heel by a hunter who thought he was a deer. Krishna was born in a prison cell at Mathura, in modern day Uttar Pradesh, so much for wise men, shepherds, a stable, and an eastern star.

The name Osirus is a Greek TRANSLITERATION of the Egyptian name Asar. The name Lazarus is actually derived from the Hebrew word Eleazar meaning “God has helped.” they are two different languages, WHO CARES IF THEY SOUND THE SAME! In the various myths there are the “Sons of Horus,” or six semi-gods, who followed him, and at times there were various numbers of human followers, but they never add up to twelve.

There is no character named Anup the Baptizer in ancient Egyptian mythology. This is the concoction of a 19th-century English poet and amateur Egyptologist by the name of Gerald Massey . Massey is the author of several books on the subject of Egyptology; however, professional Egyptologists have largely ignored his work. In fact, his writing is held in such low regard in archaeological circles that it is difficult to find references to him in reputable modern publications.

Why would stories of Horus myths have crucifixion when there is no archaeological evidence that Egypt practiced that form of execution?   There are only picture of Horus with his arms spread apart. Big deal. LOL!

Osiris was killed and cut up by his brother Seth, Isis put him back together again except for his phallus, which she improvised and made out of gold, she used her powers to put life back in him temporarily and made love to his golden rod giving birth to Horus. VIRGIN BIRTH? RESURRECTION? There are several ancient depictions of Horus standing with his arms spread out. OKAY THEN THAT HAS TO BE A CRUCIFIXION? No blood or cross! When a cheer leader gives you a T does that make her Jesus?

The tradition has it that the 'Generative Rock,' , had given birth to Mithras. Not a virgin birth.  Mithraism has very little in the way of written texts, no direct texts, mainly pictures and oral tradition. There is nothing to support that Mithras ever died let alone being crucified. There exists a mural in which Mithras is surrounded by 12 signs and personages of the Zodiac. He was the Sun God. 12 signs are not 12 people. SUN and SON are Homophones that only works in ENGLISH as we discussed! Jesus was not REALLY BORN ON DEC 25. So who cares about that link? Pagan Catholics rearranged his birthday to win over pagans. No resurrection, sorry.

Dionysis is the androgynous demigod of wine and revelry driving his worshipers into states of madness. He is one of many fertility gods.  While it is true he had a earthly mother according to legend, that is really where the best comparison ends.  He was dismembered and consumed by the Titians leaving only his heart. This story is much like the stories of Pentheus, whose body parts were gathered together after his mother, aunt, and other Maenads tore him apart in a Dionysic frenzy in the story of Actaeon.  A Goddess Rhea brought him back to life.  After being ripped up and eaten with the exception of is heart?  Isn't that regeneration instead?  Ooookay, anyways! This is a common religious motif called Orphism. Jesus on the other hand did not have one bone broken.

John 19:36
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

Attis was born of Agdistis a hermaphrodite who the Titans castrated and threw his member away.  There grew up from it an almond-tree, and when its fruit was ripe, Nana, who was a daughter of the river-god Sangarius, picked an almond and laid it in her bosom.   She became pregnant with Attis,  Virgin birth? The Mother Goddess Cybele appeared to him causing him to go mad and he later went on to castrate himself and got killed by a wild boar.  As all the fertility gods, he represents resurrection by the death of winter and renewal of spring.  No resurrection account per say.  Oh hey, he was born on Dec 25! Ohhhh yeah we already went over that, not the real date of birth of Christ Jesus.
